Standard X is a Jazz album, featuring 9 different classic jazz standards, with a twist- none of the ´original´ melodies of these famous standards is played threw the entire album.

New melodies were created to accommodate these beautiful harmonic buildings, we all know and love, in order to create a new point of view about these pieces.

All keyboards in this album were recorded on an AKAI LPK 25 which contains only 2 octaves (Threw various plugins).
This limitation creating a unique challenge- using a limited span of notes, which create artistic freedom of expression threw limitation.

My fingerprint of combining digital together with acoustic instruments create a unique sound environment. I´m trying to use as minimal post-processing as possible, I believe this creates emphasis on the musical material itself.
